I got a new sewing machine from my mother-in-law about a month ago, and I named her Sandy. I have had so much fun learning a new skill and I am glad that I have another hobby to occupy my time. At DI in the humanitarian aid part they have pre-cut squares for blankets, and you can take those home, sew them together and then return it. I figured this would be a good way to practice, and for my first patch quilt I think it turned out pretty good! if you look closely there are some corners that don't match up, but I'm pretty sure the baby who gets this won't care :)
Here's Sandy, isn't she beauty?
My first quilt!
Here's to more adventures together Sandy!
Thanks Teresa for the sewing machine, I absolutely love it! And thanks Heather and Taylor for teaching me how to put it together and use it :)
How cool! I've been thinking here lately that I'd really like to have a sewing machine so I'm totally jealous!
