Cray Cray

On the way home from Home Depot tonight (my third store trying to find the right Christmas lights. Which I spent our grocery money on Christmas decorations, whoops!  Christmas decorations are way more fun than our weekly groceries anyway.  We can survive on peanut butter, pancakes, and green beans just fine.) Anyway, I tell Brenton I'm about to go cray cray from the kids.  Cohen proceeds to shout "Cray, cray, cray.  I'm cray cray Momma.  Cray, cray, cray.  Momma, I'm cray cray."  Just when I'm about to snap that boy knows how to make me laugh.

Let me explain all the "cray"ziness of this week.  We got home Sunday morning from a two week vacation.  It was very fun, but got minimal sleep.  We are exhausted, but get home just in time for church, so we go to church.  I'm pretty sure I fell asleep with my eyes open sitting with my CTR5 class during sharing time.  We come home have a quick dinner, and put the kids in bed.  Just after we get out of the shower and snuggle up in bed, I start to feel a little nauseous.  Within five minutes, Cohen starts throwing up.  He threw up about twenty times.  We felt so bad for the poor buddy.  However, almost two year olds can't quite control where they throw up.  It just goes everywhere.  I go into his room to inspect the damage.  It's everywhere.  We had a routine of Cohen throwing up, we clean him up, I put whatever dirty stuff I can in the washing machine, I spray the area with Mr. Clean, we go back to bed, 5-15 minutes later it starts over again.  We made it through the night.  However, Monday I am nauseous and feeling gross, therefore didn't get anything done.  Tuesday, Brenton stays in bed all day because he feels sick, and my body was so achey and weak I could barely pick up Kyler.  Wednesday, we start to feel better, but not up to full speed, so another lazy, pajama day watching movies, and to end the night Kyler poops and throws up on me multiple times and Cohen throws up again, all over the kitchen floor.  I'm just glad it wasn't all over the laundry I just folded.  Thursday and Friday the kids are tired, bored, and grumpy.  Today, Cohen threw himself down on the ground in Wal Mart and started crying because I wouldn't get him a sucker.  He threw himself down in the parking lot crying because he didn't want to hold my hand to the car.  He threw himself down on the ground by the car in the Home Depot parking lot because.....who knows why!  Today he has spent the majority of his day face down on the ground crying. Tonight after Home Depot (and I did find the right lights!) I was trying to make dinner and Brenton was trying to keep the kids happy, which he usually does an excellent job at, both the kids were just crying.  I can only take so much throw up and crying before I literally go "cray cray!"

Now, the kids are in bed, the best time of night!!  Weeks like this one, makes me so grateful I have a husband who comes home and give the kids and I his full attention to play, help out, or do whatever.  This week, also made me realize the root of my grumpiness, my house has been a mess, and it is still not clean.  Coming home from a two week vacation and then getting a stomach something or the other, not so helpful in the keeping the house clean department.  My therapy from the grumpiness, Christmas decoration shopping!

The cray cray week
He makes everything better
I think I have the throw up smell permanently in my nose.  In this picture he had just thrown up on his clothes, so I took them off and he was cold, hence the blanket.  He was sitting on the chair because I was trying to clean up the said throw up and I put the bowl there because I didn't want to clean up more throw up...
Christmas!
 We needed more lights
One of the only times he wasn't throwing himself on the ground crying.
The hulk (Cohen) lives in our house.
He did not learn this from me...
He was really thirsty this week.  Probably from all the throwing up and diarrhea.  Chug it buddy...but don't throw up please!
